50 Days Vegan

Everyone knows that eating your veggies is important. They are packed with nutrients that our bodies need to function properly. There have been numerous scientific studies that confirm why we need to eat plants, and over 10,000,000 adults is the US are currently living a plant-based lifestyle. So…, for 50 days… we’re vegan.

So what is a Vegan?

Veganism is a plant-based eating that excludes animal-derived ingredients like meats, eggs, and dairy products. (It get more extreme than this, but this is what we will use as our starting point.)

There are 2 ways you can participate in this challenge:

  1. I am Vegan for 50 days
  2. I will eat a vegan meal once a day for 50 days.

During this 50 Days Vegan challenge we will be exploring the infinite number of vegan foods made by combining grains, beans, legumes, vegetables and fruits. We’ll also learn about the many “vegan transitional foods” that are basically versions of familiar foods, such as vegan hot dogs, vegan ice creams, vegan cheese, and vegan butters, along with the more familiar veggie burgers. Last but not least we will expose some of the foods we’ve been eating all our lives and didn’t even know where vegan.

The purpose of the challenge is not to turn you into a vegan. It’s to educate you about the options available in the world of plant-based foods, and provide a tool belt to use during your journey to a healthier lifestyle.
